Off day gibberish

On our off day I got up at the crack of dawn to go talk to some high school kids. When I got back we challenged Rob to drink a gallon on milk in under an hour. I was recording the event for this podcast but when I went to take a pic of him puking it erased the recording. Here a short make up podcast

Day 5

I meant to record something longer later but forgot. Oh well Day 5 Podcast

Thank you in advance to my family, friends and sponsors that will be supporting me during this adventure.

Before I embark on a most Epic Journey I would like to thank everyone that is making this dream of mine a reality.
First and for most thank you to Trail Racing Over Texas.  None of this would be possible without your help.  I am proud to be part of your T.R.O.T. Racing team and am humbled by the passion you have for giving back to the community and your desire to help kids to live happy and healthy lives.
Thank you for having faith in me, your support really means a lot.
This is my friend Rob Goyen founder of Trail Racing Over Texas. Six years ago he was over 347 pounds and had never ran before.  Today is under 200 lbs, he quit drinking and smoking and is now an Ultra runner. Please take a moment to

It's never too late to change your life around and start making healthy choices. But why wait? If we can instill proactive life choices in children. A life full of happiness is their's to be had.

Thank you to 100 Mile Club for existing.  Not only are you making a real difference in the lives of thousands of children across the world, seeing children be active and excited about running puts a huge smile on my face. It fills my heart with warmth and makes me extremely optimistic about the future.

Without the vision and dreams of Core Runner Darren Van Soye and Race Director Sandy Van Soye this race would not exist.  Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the 100 Mile club.

Thank you also to my fellow runners in this adventure.  I can't wait to get to know each and everyone of you amazing people.
Thank you to everyone who has made a donation on my behalf or on the behalf of any of the runners.  You are the ones that are really making a difference!
Thank you to Luna sandals they have been my footwear of choice for the last 6 years.  I have won over 30 races in them ranging from 1 mile to 50km. They make amazing huarache sandals and are company that year after year has donated to the 100 Mile Club on my behalf.  I will always consider everyone at Luna part of my extended family.

I will have few pairs of Limited addition Luna sandals for sale during the race. Also available soon at Luna Sandals.com
proceeds will go to the 100 Mile Club.
(more on this to come later)
Thank you to SUUNTO I will be using their Ambit 3 GPS watch to track my progress and to help keep me from getting lost.
You can follow along here at their
Thank you to Salomon who makes bar none the best hydration packs in the business.  Although I don't know if I will need it I am bringing one with with me on this adventure just in case.
The Bearded Brother love Ultra running, Disc Golf and making some of the most nutritious Vegan energy bars on the planet.  They will be stocking me up with healthy goodness as I run across the country. I plan on starting the race cleanly shaven on day one and seeing what kind beard I can grow over 140 days as my way of paying respect to company that I love.

Quite possibly my new favorite thing.  I have been a long time proponent of using massage to help restore my body after running.  It has replaced both the Grid Foam Roller and the stick both I think are great products but neither are as effective as the "Roll Recovery R8"  When I have given every thing I've got during a long run I do not have the energy needed to give myself a proper massage.  Unlike the foam roller or the stick.  The "roll Recovery R8"  has the resistance built in.  It easy to use and the results are amazing.
Thank you to "Stone" Farms for putting a big smile on my face.
:)
ZZYXXZ
Thank You ZZYXXZ reflective apparel.  If I look shiny it's because of them.  They care deeply about keeping runners safe and visible.
Thank you to Orange Mud for the Handheld's will be using on my trip
I will be supplementing my diet with MCT lean Vegan protein after each run and MCT lean oils into my meals I cook each night.
Altra Running
Thank you to Altra for Sponsoring Team T.R.O.T.
I will be bring a pair of Altra Paradigm's with me for those days when my feet need a little comfort and those nights when I need a slipper to keep them warm. Altra uses the same distributor as Luna Sandals in Japan so they are already kind of like family.
Trail Toes
Thank you to Trail Toes for sponsoring Team T.R.O.T. I look forward to using your product
Thank you to Aravaipa Running  not only are they  Arizona's premiere race organizers they are some really good people that I hope will join forces with the 100  Mile Club someday soon.

Don't let the name full you.  I am proud to be an ambassador for this kooky bunch of running misfits who are passionate about enjoying life outdoors and giving back to those in need.
Last but certainly not least

Thank you to my family for supporting me in whatever I do.  I think the hardest part about a race like this will be being away from you guys.  You will be my heart constantly and I will do my best to make you guys proud.
:)
